American linoleum played an important part of American history. Linoleum flooring was manufactured by oxidizing linseed oil to form a thick mixture called linoleum cement. Cooled and mixed with pine resin and wood flour to form sheets, and baked in huge ovens. the unique designs were genius in their concept and beauty. Called the 40 year floor, for their durability, none of these early linoleum's have any content of asbestos. they are complicated to install, requiring professionals. My linoleum rugs in this site are complete works of art, containing geometrics, florals, marbellas and novelties. they do not get cut to fit spaces. All are in original condition, right out of the tubes they were sold in. It is best to call the store 212 393 9002 for more information, as they are costly and require loving care to install.
